The Miracle Worker is a play in three acts about Annie Sullivan and the role she played in the life of Helen Keller.  The play begins in a blind school where Annie has lived since the death of her brother, Jimmy.  Annie is plagued with her own demons about living in Tewksbury Asylum before going to Perkins School for the blind.  As an act of good fortune Annie has received her sight after several experimental surgeries and is now old enough to graduate and earn her own living.  She travels from Boston to Alabama to take her charge as a governess for a young girl who is blind and deaf.  No one knows if Helen can be taught anything.  Read the play to find out if Annie succeeds.  --play review by Mrs. Babin
