The BFG by Roald Dahl
 | I really liked the
BFG by Roald Dahl. It's about a Big Friendly Giant (BFG) who visits the real
world from Giant Country. He learns the English language by stealing
children's books. He catches dreams and stores them in jars, then he sneaks
into people villages and blows the dreams into people's bedrooms. One night
when he's visiting the people villages, he gets seen by a little girl named
Sophie. Then he puts Sophie into his pocket and takes her back to giant
country. The rest of the book tells about how The BFG is the only good giant
in Giant Country. All the rest of them are mean and eat people. Sophie and
the BFG go to see the queen of England to try and figure out a way to trap
all the mean giants so they can't eat any more people. It's full of hilarious
and silly words like 'bellypoppers' for helicopters, and 'chidlers' for
children, and 'glummy' for yummy. It's fun to read and I have read it many
times. It's my favorite book.--book recommended by Kevin |

Gold-Eye was born after the disappearance of all the grown-ups--that was 15

Holes by Louis Sachar
 | I loved this book. Stanley Yelnats, the main character, is an overweight
kid who gets sent to Camp Green Lake because of a crime he didn't commit.
Camp Green Lake is torture, having to dig a 5 by 5 foot hole every day!
Stanley finds out that he and the other boys aren't digging to build
character; the warden is looking for something in the barren wasteland that
used to be actual Green Lake. Will the evil warden find what she is looking
for? Will Stanley get out of Camp Green Lake? Will Stanley's innocence ever
be found out? You'll have to read this book to find out. --Book suggested by

 | The Two Towers (second book in the Lord of

characters from The Fellowship of the Ring. There is also lots of
action like battles, sword fighting, flying arrows, and much more. Though it
will not keep you on the edge of your seat the whole time it has a good
storyline and plot. Frodo and Sam have already set out for Mordor, the
capitol of darkness, but the creature Golem (Smeagle) is still after his ‘precious’(the
ring of power). After a desperate struggle Frodo and Sam subdue him and tie
him by the neck. Golem pleads that he will guide them to Mordor and the
